Yesterday, Yinchuan Zhongshan Park celebrated his 80^th birthday. More than 200 garden fellow members from Xi'an, Lanzhou, Urumqi, Xining and other 10cities gathered in Fengchen to celebrate the birthday of Zhongshan Park. Same day, the 28^th session of six western provinces(districts) central city garden scientific and technological information net, the 7^th annual meeting of National Zhongshan Park, the 30^th annual meeting of China Zoo association and northwest coordinated region were opening at the same time. Vice-chairman of the autonomous region Hao Linhai attended the celebration meeting.

 

       In 1929, in memory of the fifth anniversary of Sun Yat-Sen, contemporary Ningxia government decided to build the Zhongshan Park on Xixia period Li yuanhao's palace site. In November of that year, Zhongshan Park was officially opened. Currently, Zhongshan Park has become the important sightseeing district of Yinchuan and covers an area 710 acres. There are 36 families trees, total twenty three thouand; 23 families animals, 76 kinds, 638 heads; 33 entertainment projects. It has become one of the most garden characteristic in northwest area. Since 2001, it freely opened, it has become a leisure place of ordinary people. Zhongshan Park exerts an influence on Ningxia economy. During a period time, he took on the job of proving ground Ningxia farming, forestry, husbandry. The earliest cattle farm in Ningxia was built in Zhongshan Park Zoo
